Welcome to the IMPACT usability testing study

What is usability testing?

The purpose of this research study is to test a website that is intended to help young adult cancer survivors to increase their physical activity.  We are interested in learning about how young adult cancer survivors feel about the look and function of the website and to see if it is easy or difficult to use.  As a part of the study, you will be asked to use the website and we will examine your usage of the website.  We will use opinions and preferences from young adult cancer survivors to make improvements to the website prior to using it in a larger research study.

What will I do?

If you participate, your part in this study will include a one-time visit that will last approximately 75 minutesDuring this visit, you will complete a brief set of questionnaires and then will take part in a testing session that involves reviewing website application features and completing various tasks.  You will use a study-owned smartphone or tablet to view the website application and provide your opinions and feedback on its look and feel. Then, you will be asked to complete a list of tasks within the website application, such as navigating through pages and completing activities. Following the tasks, you will be asked to give some feedback on the ease of use, relevance, and acceptability of the website.  The session will be audio-recorded so we can capture comments in a transcript for analysis and help improve the website for future users.

 Am I eligible?

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are currently between the ages of 18 and 39
  • Were diagnosed with cancer (excluding non-melanoma skin cancer) at age 18 or older
